The Conference
The Indian financial sector has undergone a dynamic transformation
over the
last
decade. The roots of
digital transformation however can be traced to the launch of Aadhaar, a unique, unified
identification system which now is linked in any kind of benefit transfer of the government.
Aadhaar, along with the launch of Jan Dhan Yojana in 2014 linked with mobile phone numbers, gave
the
government a unique tool like JAM. The key players in the sector like Banks, NBFCs and service
companies have been capitalizing on technology to generate value and transform India's financial
ecosystem. Supported by a surge in digital adoption and the startup revolution, India today
supports
the 3rd largest fintech ecosystem. Trends in the financial sector in India if observed with a
bird's
eye are catching up the pace of the international trends. But, finally, the conference will
provide
a unique platform of discussion and discourse with the experts and learners predominantly from
academics through their presentation of papers and also with the few invited experts from the
various sub-sectors who are in practice. The event is open to academicians, research scholars,
students, professionals, corporate
representatives from banks, insurance companies etc.
